Among the options meant to help build a positive image is Allegro Smart, a service introduced by the platform to give buyers better conditions and to give companies a chance to win new customers.

Allegro Smart - what is behind this service?

Allegro Smart is meant to make the seller more attractive to buyers. Offers marked as Smart let customers who use this service benefit from free delivery, which is exactly why many companies decide to make their offer more attractive this way. At the same time, it is a chance that offers marked with Smart will be easier to find.

What are the requirements for companies to join Smart

A company that wants to join the Smart service must meet several conditions that make it possible to list an offer with this label. These include requirements such as:

• at least five positive transaction ratings from the last 12 months
• an average sales rating of 98%
• timely payment of Allegro fees
• compliance of offers with the Allegro terms and conditions

On the account, companies must also take care of several further matters. These include the requirement to create return conditions and add them to offers. In addition, you will have to set correct delivery values in your offers and make sure you have one of the following delivery methods

• Allegro Kurier DPD
• Allegro Pocztex Kurier 48
• Allegro Kurier Pocztex
• Allegro Kurier UPS
• Allegro Przesyłka polecona

Changes in requirements for business accounts

For business accounts, changes to the requirements are coming in autumn 2022. From 3 October these include adding, besides the courier offer, two options of delivery to a pickup point or a parcel locker. Another change is that from October customers using offers on business accounts cannot choose Orlen stations as an order pickup point. The changes affecting business accounts under the Allegro Smart service are above all cosmetic in nature, yet it is impossible not to notice that they add extra obligations a seller must fulfil to comply with Allegro requirements and to have the Allegro Smart label on their offers. Earlier in 2022 there was also a change in the available delivery methods, as the Allegro Przesyłka Polecona option was restored, which also makes it possible to obtain Smart status, and at the same time lower purchase value requirements apply that make it possible to run sales on a business account with offers marked as Allegro Smart. It cannot be denied that the Allegro Smart status attached to offers matters to companies and can build higher sales, so it is worth keeping up with the changes being made, in order to introduce them in your offers if needed and thus not lose the Allegro Smart status.

Smart costs for Allegro customers

It should be borne in mind that there are also changes for Allegro customers who use the offer on this platform and have purchased the Allegro Smart option. The cost of use is rising; until now it was 49.9 for Allegro Smart and 39.9 for Allegro Smart Student. In November 2022 this changed, and both subscriptions with annual billing increased by 10, to 59.9 for Allegro Smart and 49.9 for Allegro Smart Student respectively. The monthly payment does not change, however, and will still be 10.99. The order limits with one seller needed to benefit from Allegro Smart are also changing. For parcel lockers and pickup points the amount rises from 40 to €10, while for courier shipments it rises from 40 to €15. Meeting the limits is necessary in order to benefit from Allegro Smart.
