How much does the migration from ShopGold to PrestaShop cost?

• From 1000 products: €410 net.

This is the price of a one-off service covering the migration of the catalogue and the configuration of the agreed payment systems and couriers. Choose the catalogue size in the product options. We confirm the number of products and the structure of variants against the source data before the work begins.

Expanding the shop in the PrestaShop ecosystem

In this case the main argument is not escaping SaaS: ShopGold works in a different model than a typical subscription shop. The value of PrestaShop lies in open code, the ability to choose contractors and to adapt modules to your growth plans. The migration can simplify further implementations if this is the platform on which you want to build the shop's next features.

What does the catalogue migration include?

I prepare the mapping of the category tree and of the product fields from the available export. I check names, descriptions, prices, codes, images and attributes, as well as how variants are represented. For unusual data we agree the method of transfer before the import, instead of assuming that both systems have an identical structure.

• Products: transfer of the available data, including names, descriptions, prices, images and identifiers, within the scope confirmed after checking the export.
• Categories: mapping of the structure and assignment of products.
• Payments: configuration of the agreed methods using compatible modules and payment provider accounts.
• Couriers: configuration of the agreed delivery methods and integrations using data provided by the shop owner.
• Verification: checking the import and category assignments, and testing the configuration of the agreed payments and deliveries.

What should you know before the migration?

The ShopGold template and its extensions do not become PrestaShop modules after copying the files. The new environment needs compatible solutions. Migrating the catalogue and configuring the agreed integrations are covered by the offer; a custom graphic design and the recreation of additional features require separate arrangements.

This service covers migration to an agreed, prepared PrestaShop environment. It is not a project to build a whole shop from scratch. Hosting, the domain, paid licences for PrestaShop modules, payment provider fees and shipping costs are not included in the migration price. Unusual integrations and additional work are confirmed before we start.

How does the cooperation work?

1. We define the scope. You provide the address of your current shop, the number of products, the list of payments and couriers, and information about the required features.
2. I check the data. I verify the available export and the way products, categories and variants will be mapped.
3. I migrate the catalogue and configure the integrations. The work takes place in the agreed target environment.
4. We verify the result. We check the catalogue and the purchase path before the agreed launch.

Customers, accounts and order history

Do you also want to move customers or orders? I will prepare an individual quote after reviewing the available data, addresses, statuses and relations. Password compatibility and the ability to keep logging in require separate verification. Personal data should not be sent through an ordinary contact form; we will agree on how to transfer the data before the work begins.

Migration and SEO

Changing platform may change the URLs of products and categories. Before launch it is worth agreeing a map of old and new URLs and the scope of 301 redirects. A full SEO migration, audit and ranking monitoring require the scope to be agreed separately. I do not promise an automatic improvement in rankings, nor a migration without any fluctuation in traffic.

Does migrating from ShopGold automatically mean lower costs?

Not always. We compare the costs of both environments and the planned changes. PrestaShop Open Source does not require a fee for the engine, but hosting, maintenance and selected modules still cost money. It is worth basing the decision on growth needs, not on a promise of zero expenses.
