It is a well-known fact that the e-commerce market in Poland is growing at a dizzying pace. Year on year it is about 30%. In this post I would like to take a closer look at how Poles shop: when, how and on what they visit online stores and what influences their decision to buy. This text is based on the mShopper 2.0 report.   As you can easily guess, more and more people use the internet through a mobile device. It is estimated that as many as 75% of active internet users own such a device. What does this mean for online store owners? That they cannot ignore this group. The fundamental issue is the responsiveness of the online store. Here it is sensible to choose a software provider that offers this as standard, because adapting the look of the store to every device on your own is a long and painful road. Software that provides this, along with many other interesting features, is Prestashop, among others.   37% of internet users already shop on mobile. For an online store not to lose these customers, it must also take care of a few additional matters. It is very important to add contact information, preferably in a form that lets a potential customer call the store with a single click. Another matter is adding the website to local business directories. This way users will be able to find us when searching locally, which is a common practice in mobile search. An additional asset to consider in the marketing use of mobile devices is the use of an app. With PUSH notifications and GPS we can send commercial information, for example about a promotion, to our potential customers just when they are walking past a brick-and-mortar store.   None of this means, however, that companies selling online should from now on focus solely on promoting and digging into the mobile channel. 80% of online store customers are still people using laptops or desktop computers. That is why the best solution seems to be a strategy of developing diverse forms of online shopping, known as Omnichannel. photo-1455139960217-3de50ca3bc8c
